Uchechi Emelonye is set to captivate Nigerian fans with her first major performance in the country at the Celebrating You concert hosted by TD Africa. Scheduled for December 3, 2023, at Konga Place, Lekki, Lagos, the event will feature other stars like Flavour and Patoranking.
Known as the Afrosoul Princess, UK’s Afrosoul sensation expresses eagerness to connect with her Nigerian fan base. The award-winning multi-instrumentalist sees this performance as an opportunity to deepen her roots and engage with supporters who have been pivotal in her three-year music career. Uchechi shares her excitement, stating, “It would be so beautiful to physically connect with my fans in Nigeria.”
During her visit, the 22-year-old artiste plans to engage with media personalities, allowing them insight into the motivation behind her lyrical skills showcased in hits like “Little Black Bird,” “Sunrise to Sundown,” and “Underwater.” Uchechi, a graduate in Law from Lancaster University, UK, released “Baby You” in August 2023, following her BBC Music Introducing Record of the Year 2022 win.
