Penguin Random House and Marvel have announced a new adult novel series titled “What If…?” set to launch in 2024 with three titles, the first of which is “What If… Loki Was Worthy? A Loki and Valkyrie Story”. The novel series is reportedly a collaboration between Marvel Entertainment and Penguin Random House UK, with Del Rey UK of Cornerstone also involved.
The “What If…?” series is a continuation of the traditional Marvel What If…? comics, which explore alternate realities and storylines in the Marvel Universe. The novels will focus on adult audiences and will be published by Random House Worlds. Audiobook versions of all three novels will also be published by Penguin Random House Audio.
The first book in the series, “What If… Loki Was Worthy? A Loki and Valkyrie Story,” is set to be published on March 12, 2024. The second book, “What If… Peter Parker Became Venom?” by Sarah Kuhn, is slated for release in June 2024. The third book, “What If… Moon Knight Was a Villain?” by Daniel José Older, is set to be published in October 2024.
The series is a new way to explore the Marvel Universe and its characters.
