Three Nigerian Female Tech-Founders make Inaugural list of Africa-focused Mentorship program

in June 2020, the Future is Female Mentorship Program; a PR and communications mentorship exclusively dedicated to African tech female founders was launched and since the launch, it has been established that the initiave is the first PR and comms program ever launched exclusively for African women in tech.

After careful selection, the finalists were selected from across Africa, three of whom are Nigerian Female tech founders – Movemeback, CAWSTEM, and Clean Technology Hub, who made the inaugural list #Classof2020.

There were 139 applications from 18 different African countries from across the continent. Initially, the goal was to select 10 mentees for the inaugural program, but the volume and quality of the applications were so good that the program was extended to 12 African female-founded startups instead of 10. They come from Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya.

“African women in tech are underserved of the underserved, and we are so excited as an agency to pour our resources into this complimentary program dedicated to them and look forward to your support in publishing this story,” the project spokesperson explained.
