The Sokoto Book and Arts Festival (SOBAFest) has officially unveiled the theme and dates for its 2024 edition, promising an event that will celebrate literature, art and culture. This year’s theme, “Ascension,” aims to highlight the growth and elevation of literary works and artistic expressions within the historic city of Sokoto. The festival will explore the profound artistic and literary heritage of the Caliphate city, showcasing the rise of authors and their works, and delving into both historical and contemporary narratives of ascension within the community. The theme also emphasises resilience and advancement, reflecting the festival’s return to its grassroots and its mission to inspire and influence art lovers in Sokoto and beyond.
SOBAFest’24 boasts a diverse lineup of events that span various artistic expressions, times and places.
