Sabrina Carpenter debuts new song at Grammy Museum

Sabrina Carpenter thrilled fans with an unexpected performance of her unreleased track “Slim Pickins” at the Grammy Museum’s Clive Davis Theater in Los Angeles on Friday, August 2, per nme.com

The exclusive event featured Carpenter alongside renowned producer Jack Antonoff for a moderated discussion and intimate performance, offering attendees a rare glimpse into their collaborative process.

The 25-year-old singer treated the audience to a sneak peek of her upcoming album “Short n’ Sweet,” set to release later this month. Carpenter introduced the new song with characteristic charm, saying, “This one’s cute and I just like, wanted to sing it for you today. Super random of me, so, it’s called ‘Slim Pickins’ and I hope you like it.” The surprise performance was met with enthusiasm from the crowd, heightening anticipation for her forthcoming album.

In addition to “Slim Pickins,” Carpenter, accompanied by Antonoff, delighted the audience with renditions of “Please Please Please” and “Espresso,” showcasing the dynamic musical partnership between the two artistes.

The Grammy Museum appearance comes on the heels of Carpenter’s June announcement of her sixth studio album and accompanying North American tour. The “Short n’ Sweet Tour” is set to be her most ambitious yet, kicking off on September 23 in Columbus, Ohio. The extensive 29-date tour will see Carpenter perform at major venues across the United States and Canada, including iconic arenas such as Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Adding to the excitement, Carpenter recently announced an extension of the tour to include shows in the UK and Europe in early 2025. The international leg will begin with four dates across the UK and Ireland, with rising star Rachel Chinouriri confirmed as the support act for these newly added shows.
