Ryan Reynolds has given Deadpool fans something to be hopeful for, after saying the chances of the third film in the series beginning production in 2022 are ‘pretty damn good’.
The wait for a new Merc with a Mouth movie has been a long one since Deadpool 2 in 2018, but the upcoming sequel could finally be happening soon, reports Metro.
Ryan, who is currently starring in new film Free Guy, while talking about reprising his superhero character, said that the highly-anticipated movie is being ‘actively developed’.
‘What the hell month is it? August? Oh next year? Probably pretty damn good. I’d say 70%.’
He went on to discuss the script, which is being written by Bob’s Burger writers Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux in collaboration with Ryan.
‘It’s something that is just a daily process. Writing is kind of like that, you’ve gotta allot time to do it and walk away, and I’m working with the Molyneuxs on it, it’s been great,’ he said.
It’s been three years since Deadpool 2 arrived, and in that time Ryan has thought up some pretty crazy ideas.
