Miley Cyrus’ hit single “Flowers” has been named the biggest song of 2023 so far by the Official Charts Company. The song, which spent 10 weeks at number one earlier this year, has racked up 147 million streams and over 80,000 downloads. The break-up anthem was supposedly written about the pop star’s split with on-and-off boyfriend and former fiancé Liam Hemsworth.
Following closely behind “Flowers” are Raye’s “Escapism” in second place and SZA’s “Kill Bill” in third. The Official Charts Company also released data on the biggest albums of the year so far, with The Weeknd’s greatest hits collection The Highlights taking the number one spot and Taylor Swift’s Midnights in second place.
Miley Cyrus’ fans can expect to see more of her on the charts as her eighth and latest studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, dropped in March 2023.
