Matt Damon reflects on the struggles of working on a troubled Film

Matt Damon recently opened up about his experience working on a film that he knew was going to be a box office bomb.

During a junket interview for Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, Oppenheimer, Damon compared the experience to working on Steven Spielberg’s Saving Private Ryan. He revealed that halfway through production, he fell into a depression about what he had done, knowing that the film might not be what he had hoped it would be.

Although Damon did not name the film, he previously spoke about filming The Great Wall in 2016, which he knew was headed for trouble as he was making it. Despite the experience, Damon credits his wife, Luciana Barosso, for helping him through the ordeal and getting him to a place where he realised his job is to just do the work.
