Mary J. Blige‘s Strength of a Woman Festival — named after the Queen of Hip Hop Soul’s 2017 album — is set to return to State Farm Arena in Atlanta on May 12 and 13 with Lauryn Hill, Jeezy and a host of other stars on the stage.
According to Hip Hop DX, other artistes on the lineup include Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Jadakiss, DJ Drama, Jodeci, Lucky Daye, Muni Long, Coco Jones and Summer Walker.
The outlet adds that there is also an evening with Robert Glasper, along with a live taping of Angela Yee’s Lip Service podcast and a comedy night hosted by Mike Epps.
Not only that, but the Sunday Service Collective will be there for a gospel brunch.
Mary J. Blige announced the lineup — which is headlined by herself and Ms. Hill — on Wednesday (March 8) to coincide with International Women’s Day.
“I’m kicking off International Women’s Day with the 2nd annual @strengthofawomanfest + Summit in partnership with @pepsi,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m curating a never before seen MJB-Sides set celebrating #HipHop50 – all Hip Hop all night!
“@strengthofawomanfest + summit includes a 4 day experience with music, panels, comedy, a gospel brunch, a ball, parties and sooooo many surprises. Last year was great, this year will be EPIC!”
Launched in 2022, the Strength of a Woman festival was previously headlined by Mary J. Blige and also featured performances from Ella Mai, Chaka Khan, Xscape, City Girls, Queen Naija, Kiana Lede, Emotional Oranges, Sevyn Streeter, Baby Tate, Rubi Rose, Ms. Pat and many others.
Unlike last year’s lineup, though, the 2023 version has been expanded to also include male artistes.
