Johnny Depp has opened his debut solo art exhibition, “Johnny Depp: A Bunch of Stuff Presents Figures of the Fringe,” at the Modern Art Museum in Shanghai, per artnews.com.
Overseen by artistic director Shai Baitel, the showcase features recurring themes including heroes, idols, lovers, muses, masks and doubles. It follows the collection’s 2024 debut in New York’s Chelsea district.
Beyond the gallery, press materials indicate Depp plans a curated cultural journey across China exploring historical sites and traditional craft.
The exhibition coincides with his upcoming silver screen return as Scrooge in Paramount Pictures’ “Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol,” arriving this Thanksgiving, a decade after career disruptions following a 2015 domestic abuse accusation and subsequent $10 million defamation victory in 2022.
