Rock veterans Deep Purple have announced the release of their latest studio album, “SPLAT!,” scheduled for July 3 via earMUSIC, per uncut.co.uk.
The announcement is accompanied by the confirmation of an extensive world tour comprising 86 shows across 28 countries.
Produced by Bob Ezrin, the album was recorded with the full band performing together in the studio to capture a live aesthetic.

Frontman Ian Gillan described the new material as a return to the band’s 1970s roots, noting that the energy and dynamics are comparable to classic tracks such as ‘Highway Star’ and ‘Smoke on the Water’. Conceptually, the album moves away from traditional apocalyptic themes, instead exploring the end of humanity as a metamorphosis beyond physical existence.
The 13-track record will be available in multiple formats, including digital, CD, and a variety of vinyl editions in black, purple, and transparent finishes. A limited-edition box set is also planned.
To support the release, the band will embark on a global tour spanning three continents. The European leg begins on June 11 in Espoo, Finland, and includes a sold-out appearance at France’s Hellfest. The tour then moves to North America in August before returning to Europe and concluding with a series of South American and Mexican dates in December.
British fans can see the band in November, with performances scheduled for Newcastle, Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester. The UK leg finishes with two nights in London at the Eventim Apollo and the Royal Albert Hall on November 24 and 25.
This latest project is a significant chapter for Deep Purple, who remain one of the most enduring pillars of British hard rock. By reuniting with long-time producer Bob Ezrin–known for his work with Pink Floyd and Alice Cooper–the band continues to refine the heavy, blues-influenced sound they pioneered over five decades ago.
