DC CEO James Gunn responds to rumours that “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot is leaving

James Gunn, the head of Worlds of DC, has addressed the rumours that Gal Gadot is no longer playing Wonder Woman.

There have been a lot of adjustments made at DC Studios ever since Gunn was named co-CEO. For instance, Henry Cavill left the role of Superman earlier this month, while Patty Jenkins’ vision for a third Wonder Woman film was turned down by Gunn and co-CEO, Peter Safran.

This has led to rumours that Gadot wouldn’t be returning to the role as the hero, but Gunn has offered his side to the story – though he didn’t confirm if Gadot would continue playing Diana Prince.

In a post on Instagram, Gunn referenced the backlash that he and Safran had faced since news of the changes at DC were made, with one fan saying they had “booted” both Cavill and Gadot from their respective franchises.

In reference to the overhaul at the company, Gunn recently said: “We know we are not going to make every single person happy every step of the way, but we can promise everything we do is done in the service of the story & in the service of the DC characters we know you cherish and we have cherished our whole lives.”
