Celebrity hairstylist and entrepreneur Kahh Spence has built his fragrance brand, Samir Grey, into a profitable business with over $500,000 in sales, driven by a viral endorsement involving Tina Knowles and Kelly Rowland, per blackenterprise.com.
Launched in August 2025, the brand offers its flagship vegan and cruelty-free fragrance, ONE, priced at $138. Spence chose to focus on fragrance rather than haircare after a decade in the beauty industry, naming the enterprise after his middle name and favourite colour while dedicating it to his late mother.
The company’s growth surged in April when Tina Knowles posted a video featuring the product. Within two hours, Samir Grey sold out two weeks’ worth of inventory, leading to a fivefold increase in website sessions. A subsequent restock in May generated five months of standard sales within a single month.
Profitable since inception, Samir Grey is projected to reach $1 million in revenue by the end of 2026. Spence maintains that direct consumer engagement remains central to the brand’s long-term strategy alongside viral exposure.
