Berri-Tiga has released “Adamma,” a new single featuring Zlatan and Izztopik that explores love and commitment through a blend of English, Pidgin, Igbo and Yoruba.
On “Adamma,” produced by Portifar Beat and Producer X, the Nigerian singer born Agada Blessed Obotu, who first attracted attention in 2016 through vocal covers shared online before his 2022 single “Machala” brought him wider recognition, sings of a relationship he describes as enduring, likening his connection with his partner to bread and butter.
Berri-Tiga has since built a catalogue of releases known for melodic hooks and narrative lyrics.
Izztopik delivers the song’s chorus, reinforcing its central theme with a hook built around the same bread-and-butter metaphor and a declaration of devotion. Zlatan contributes a verse and ad-libs that add energy to the track without altering its romantic focus.
“I wanted ‘Adamma’ to feel like the kind of love people smile about,” Berri-Tiga said. “It’s about choosing one person with your whole heart and not being afraid to say it out loud.”
The single moves between four languages, a stylistic choice reflecting the wider trend of linguistic blending in contemporary Afropop productions aimed at cross-regional audiences.
