Artmiabo International Art Festival 2022 to celebrate Bruce Onobrakpeya at 90

This year’s edition of Artmiabo International Art Festival (AMIAF) is set to feature 24 artists in Lagos, Nigeria.

According to a statement by the organisers, the festival encompassing art, music, video, culture, books and workshops, is also to hold in honour of Professor Bruce Onobrakpeya, who turns 90 and celebrates his 60 years as a revered international artist.

“We are beyond excited indeed!” says the statement about the “first  ever ‘Recycled Objects to Art’ Exhibition in Lagos, with a goal of creating a mindset between Art and Environmental Sustainability”

It says further that the paperless and the most social media driven exhibition yet, is to take place at Ebonylife Place, Ademola Adetokunbo, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria from 29th April-1st May, 2022, between the hours of 9am to 9pm daily.

Music will be provided during the festival by Albert Ozurumba ‘Pacino Royal’, while Willem Vermeer will serve as its curator.

Organised by Johannesburg, South Africa-based Artmiabo PTY, the partners include: thisislagos.ng, JCDecaux and Multichoice Nigeria.
