“Ant-Man” and “The Suicide Squad” star David Dastmalchian joins Keira Knightley’s new movie

After popping up in almost every film lately, including the first two Ant-Man films, The Suicide Squad, Dune, and the Arrowverse’s The Flash, David Dastmalchian has got himself another role, in the new 20th Century Studios film Boston Strangler. He’ll be appearing alongside fellow MCU star Carrie Coon, The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s Chris Cooper, Jurassic Park III’s Alessandro Nivola and Pirates of the Caribbean’s Keira Knightley.

The film,  Digital Spy reports, centres on the 11 real-life murders committed by the titular strangler between 1962 and 1964, following reporter Loretta McLaughlin (played by Knightley) who attempts to get the story published. In doing so, she has to deal with the corruption and sexism that ran rampant.

As detailed in The Hollywood Reporter, Dastmalchian’s role is unknown at this point, but it is said to be a pivotal one. Filming for the feature will begin next month on location in Boston.
