Matthew Goode, Keira Knightley star in new Christmas movie “Silent Night”

Digital Spy says it has got an exclusive first-look clip at Silent Night, an excellent upcoming Christmas movie out in UK cinemas next Friday, December 3.

The all-star cast, it adds, includes Downton Abbey’s Matthew Goode, Peaky Blinders star Annabelle Wallis, The Good Place’s Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Motherland’s Lucy Punch and, most excitingly of all, Keira Knightley in her first festive movie since Love Actually.

The movie, which is about a group of friends who have reunited to celebrate a Christmas like no other: their last Christmas on Earth, also stars Jojo Rabbit breakout star Roman Griffin Davis, Ṣọpé Dìrísù, Rufus Jones and Lily-Rose Depp.

Produced by Kingsman’s Matthew Vaughn, Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray of Maven Screen Media, it marks the movie debut of writer/director Camille Griffin and it centres on the group of old friends celebrating Christmas in an idyllic country home, all the while trying to ignore mankind’s imminent destruction.

It might be their last night on Earth, but there’s still time for old secrets to be revealed and fractures to appear in their close-knit relationships.

It’s the end of the world as they know it – and they are far from feeling fine.
