A UK-based pro-Africa publishing firm, Abibiman Publishing, has named Pelagie Ijeoma Okorie its Chief Executive Officer.
Okorie is a PhD Candidate in public health epidemiology at the Newcastle University, United Kingdom. She obtained her degree from Veritas University Nigeria and a Master’s degree in Biomedical science from the Nottingham Trent University, United Kingdom.
Pelagie is also a fashion enthusiast and owns the fashion retail company, MustHaveByPela. She has a passion for stories, African fiction mostly, which has served as the gravitational pull for her to be one of the directors of Abibiman Publishing.
She is quite coordinated, focused, motherly and driven. She knows how to get things done and has a passion for the arts.
