Tate McRae has released a new single and accompanying music video for “Housewife,” marking the first track to be unveiled from her upcoming fourth studio album, per upi.com.
The 23-year-old Canadian singer released the track on Friday, October 16. The music video features McRae lounging by a pool and aboard a yacht alongside a romantic partner, complementing lyrics that center on financial independence and relationships.
“Housewife” follows the success of her third studio album, So Close to What, which arrived in February 2025 and yielded singles including “It’s OK I’m OK,” “2 Hands,” “Sports Car” and “Revolving Door”. A deluxe edition of the record was subsequently issued in November 2025.
McRae’s latest release signals the start of her next musical era, continuing a rapid release cycle that has established her as one of pop music’s most prolific young hitmakers.
