Tamia has released “Forever and a Day,” her first new single as a lead act in eight years, per ratedrnb.com.
Co-written by the Grammy-nominated R&B singer alongside Claude Kelly and Chuck Harmony of the production duo Louis York, the ballad features instrumentation including strings, piano and guitar.
Tamia announced her return on Instagram on August 21, reflecting on her 30-year career in the music industry.
The new track follows her 2018 studio album, Passion Like Fire, which featured the chart-topping radio hit “Leave It Smokin.” It also continues a long-standing creative partnership with Kelly and Harmony, who previously collaborated with the singer on her albums Beautiful Surprise and Love Life, as well as their 2024 duets project “Songs With Friends”.
Representatives have not yet confirmed whether “Forever and a Day” is a standalone release or part of an upcoming full-length album.
