Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have separated after nearly 20 years of marriage, Parade can confirm. The longtime couple, who married in June 2006, have allegedly been living apart since early summer 2025.
According to sources who spoke to People, “Nicole’s sister has been a rock, and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.” The insider added, “She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
The breakup report was first published by TMZ, claiming that the actress and country music star quietly went their separate ways months ago. The source alleges that Kidman is “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”
The TMZ insider further claims, “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home.”
Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, are parents to two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
The Australian actress was previously married to actor Tom Cruise. The two divorced after 11 years together in February 2001, with a press release citing the “difficulties inherent of diverging careers which constantly keep them apart.”
Despite the reported split, Kidman and Urban maintained a united front earlier this year. On June 25, the actress posted an anniversary message on Instagram alongside a photo of herself with the singer. “Happy Anniversary Baby ❤️ @KeithUrban,” she wrote.
It seems Kidman has been spending time with her daughters in recent months. On August 19, she shared a carousel of “summer memories” on Instagram, including candid family photos. Urban, however, was not in any of the images.
The post did come during Urban’s tour, with his next show scheduled for October 2 in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
