Cardi B’s ‘Outside’ marks her biggest UK hit in years ahead of new album

Cardi B is back with a bang as her latest single, “Outside,” storms the UK charts, debuting at No. 15 on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Singles chart, her highest placement there since 2021’s “Up” reached No. 7, per forbes.com. The track also lands at No. 17 on the Official Singles Downloads chart, No. 20 on the Official Singles Sales chart, and No. 72 on the main UK songs chart, marking her 26th appearance on the latter.

This success signals a strong return for the hip-hop superstar as she gears up for her sophomore album, “Am I the Drama?”, set for release in mid-September 2025, seven years after her debut, Invasion of Privacy.

“Outside” arrives amid fierce competition, with Fred Again, Skepta, and Plaqueboymax’s “Victory Lab” claiming the top spot on the Hip-Hop and R&B chart, and Central Cee and Sexyy Red’s “Guilt Trippin’” debuting at No. 8. Despite this, Cardi’s latest track stands out, outperforming her recent single “Enough (Miami),” which peaked at No. 85. Her previous hit, “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion, reached No. 35 in 2023, but “Outside” reaffirms her chart prowess and builds anticipation for her upcoming album.

Cardi B has consistently dominated the global music scene, and “Outside” showcases her ability to deliver infectious hits. As she prepares to drop “Am I the Drama?”, fans are eager to see if the album will replicate the cultural impact of her debut.
