Mario returns with soulful album ‘Glad You Came’

Mario has dropped his highly anticipated sixth studio album, Glad You Came, marking his first full-length release in six years, per vibe.com. The 13-track album, executive produced by Grammy-winning songwriter James Fauntleroy, signals a powerful new chapter in the artiste’s musical journey.

Released on December 13, the album showcases the R&B sensation’s signature smooth vocals and introspective songwriting. Describing the project as an “upgraded version” of himself, Mario has crafted a deeply personal musical experience without any featured artists, allowing his vocal prowess to take center stage.

The album’s latest single, “Keep Going (Aaaaahhhhh),” comes complete with a visually stunning music video co-starring actress Parker McKenna. Directed by James Bahman and Mario himself, the video captures the intimate emotional landscape of the song’s romantic narrative.

Fans eager to experience Mario’s live performance can catch him on two upcoming tours. He’ll join Mary J. Blige and Ne-Yo for the 36-date “For My Fans Tour” early in 2025, and will also headline his own 12-city tour in April and May, accompanied by Eric Bellinger.

Reflecting on his collaboration with Fauntleroy, Mario emphasized their shared passion for creating timeless music, drawing inspiration from personal experiences and keen observations of life.

“Glad You Came” represents more than just a musical comeback—it’s a testament to Mario’s enduring artistry and continued evolution in the R&B landscape.
