The Art Factor Collective has joined forces with the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA) to present a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about the arts. The partnership is set to host an Arts Reporting and Art Criticism workshop during the 25th Lagos Book & Art Festival (LABAF 2023), which runs from November 13th to 19th.
This workshop, designed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of art reporting and criticism, will take place on Thursday, November 16th, at Freedom Park, 1 Hospital Road, by Broad Street, Lagos Island. It is a golden opportunity for budding art enthusiasts to refine their skills and gain valuable insights into the world of art.
The ideal candidates for this workshop are individuals aged between 18 and 30 who have a deep passion for the creative arts. This includes, but is not limited to, visual arts, literature, stage performances, dance, festivals, fashion, exhibitions, museums, music and more.
Spaces for this workshop are limited, so interested participants are encouraged to act swiftly. To be considered for a slot, applicants should send an email explaining why they should be part of this remarkable opportunity to the following addresses: ozoro4u@gmail.com and route234ng@gmail.com. The deadline for submissions is November 5, 2023.
The organisers emphasise that while they will acknowledge all submissions, only those individuals who qualify for the workshop will be contacted for further details. This workshop promises to be a vital stepping stone for those looking to immerse themselves in the world of arts reporting and criticism, making it an unmissable opportunity at LABAF 2023.
