Zack Snyder has said he is all here for the upcoming Superman reboot that will star a Black actor in the lead. Metro reports that It’s been confirmed JJ Abrams is working on the next installment of the DCEU superhero movie and will likely cast an African-American actor to replace Henry Cavill, who was the most recent Superman.
Asked about the new direction of the franchise, Justice League director Snyder told Radio Times and other publications: ‘My feeling is that I love JJ [Abrams], I love what he’s done in the past. I’m interested to see what happens, it’s a bold and cool and probably long overdue move.’
Snyder, who said he loves Henry Cavill as Superman, explained that he is not really involved in any of the decision-making at Warner Brothers in any way, so he is just waiting to see what they do with this and how it manifests itself.
Abrams is set to produce the next Superman movie while journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates will write the script, which is expected to focus on the African-American community.
