Will Smith has emphatically refuted rumours suggesting a past romantic encounter with Fresh Prince of Bel-Air co-star Duane Martin. The actor’s representative categorically dismissed the claims, labelling them as “completely fabricated and unequivocally false.”
The origin of the rumour traces back to Smith’s former assistant, Brother Bilaal, who asserted witnessing the alleged incident during an appearance on the Unwine With Tasha K podcast. Bilaal detailed the supposed encounter, prompting swift denials from both Smith and his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
Jada Pinkett Smith, speaking to TMZ, declared their intention to pursue legal action against those spreading false narratives. In a subsequent interview preview on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, she emphasized the baseless nature of the rumor and hinted at potential legal consequences for Bilaal.
“This is a person that tried a shakedown—a money shakedown—that didn’t work; we’re gonna take legal action,” Pinkett Smith stated, alluding to possible attempted blackmail.
Despite living separate lives for the past seven years, the couple remains legally married and united against what they perceive as unfounded allegations. Pinkett Smith addressed various rumors, including accusations of infidelity, in her recently published memoir, “Worthy.”
With two children, Jaden and Willow, the Smiths are resolute in weathering the storm of speculation and maintaining a united front.
