Actor Wendell Pierce, best known for his role as Bunk Moreland in The Wire, debuted a noticeably slimmer and healthier physique at the red carpet premiere of They Fight at the Orpheum Theater in New Orleans, per parade.com.
The 62-year-old actor, who currently stars in the television series Elsbeth, stepped out over the weekend to support the new film.
Pierce has previously spoken about maintaining a disciplined approach to physical fitness and nutrition to support his long-term health.
When at home in New Orleans, Pierce incorporates group sports such as pickup basketball and tennis into his routine, while maintaining a strict daily focus on stretching his muscles and joints to manage the effects of aging. His dietary approach centres on eating fresh fish and vegetables, limiting restaurant meals and cooking at home to better manage portion control.
