Nigerian romance author Tomilola Adeyemo is set to make her mark in traditional publishing with her debut novel, “A Very Gidi Christmas.” Masobe Books, a leading Nigerian publisher, has announced the book’s release on October 28, 2024.
According to a statement, the novel follows exes Biodun ‘BG’ Gomez and Kunle Bakare, whose paths cross again after a decade, forcing them to confront old feelings and new challenges.
Adeyemo, already a bestselling indie author in Nigeria’s digital romance scene, is known for her diverse love stories set in the country.
Influenced by storytellers like Nollywood’s Amaka Igwe and American producer Shonda Rhimes, Adeyemo’s work focuses on the female perspective, black love and strong female characters. The upcoming release marks her transition from e-books to print, with “A Very Gidi Christmas” set to be available in bookstores across Nigeria.
