Taylor Swift has kicked off her Eras Tour concert in Buenos Aires, Argentina with NFL star Travis Kelce absent from the massive crowd on Thursday night.
Despite earlier confirmation that Kelce, 34, would be travelling to Argentina to support his girlfriend, Swift, 33, fans were left puzzled by his no-show.
Page Six had reported that Kelce had plans to attend one of Swift’s shows over the weekend, with insiders close to the NFL star assuring his presence. However, the mystery surrounding which specific concert he intended to attend deepened the intrigue.
Swift, undeterred by the absence of her beau, delivered a flawless performance in front of a crowd exceeding 70,000, marking the commencement of the international leg of her record-breaking tour.
Kelce’s bye week conveniently aligned with the beginning of Swift’s international shows, providing him with the opportunity to travel despite being in the midst of the football season. The Kansas City Chiefs’ next game is scheduled for Nov. 20, offering Kelce a brief respite.
Earlier in the week, Kelce’s older brother, Jason Kelce, dropped hints on their podcast, suggesting Travis’s plans to attend one of the Argentina concerts. Travis had previously expressed interest in Swift in July, revealing on his podcast that he attempted to give her his phone number during a tour stop in Kansas City.
As Swift continues her tour with two more shows in Buenos Aires, fans are left eagerly anticipating whether Kelce will make a surprise appearance to support his girlfriend on Friday or Saturday.
