Country singer Shaboozey delivered a television performance of his single “Cowgirl” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, bringing out reality television star Ciara Miller for a surprise guest appearance ahead of his upcoming album release, per rollingstone.com.
Set against a Western bar-themed backdrop bearing the title of his new record, Shaboozey was joined mid-song by Miller, who features in the official music video, to dance alongside him and his backing band.
“Cowgirl” serves as a lead track from Shaboozey’s concept album, “The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales,” scheduled for release on July 31. The project, which was several years in development, centres on a cinematic tale of revenge, redemption, and romance driven by a female protagonist named Cherie Lee. The album features guest appearances by Kehlani, Gunna, Leon Bridges, and Orville Peck.
Speaking on the narrative structure of the project, Shaboozey cited influential film directors such as Quentin Tarantino as inspiration for combining cinematic storytelling with modern music structures.
Following the album release, the singer will launch his North American “Outlaws Never Die Tour,” commencing on September 8 in Phoenix and running through late October.
The televised appearance marks a major promotional milestone for Shaboozey, whose blending of traditional Western narrative themes with contemporary hip-hop and country elements has positioned him among the premier crossover acts in current American popular music.
