Outsyd Eddie has released his debut EP, Stay Outsyd, a five-track project charting love, ambition, loyalty and celebration.
The Nigerian street-pop artist born in Benin City, first drew attention as one of the standout voices on the viral 2024 single “Feel D Mood,” gaining recognition for his energetic delivery and relatable storytelling. He has since built on that profile with music drawn from personal experience and the people around him.
Stay Outsyd traces the journey that has shaped his career so far. “Uni Love,” featuring Ayjay Bobo, examines the tension between romance and financial pressure, while “Casamigos” celebrates friendship and the rewards of hard work. “No Love” reflects on disappointment and emotional guardedness following betrayal, and “Afa Kennedy,” featuring Jnr Elder, pays tribute to loyal friendships. The EP closes with “Hey,” an upbeat street-pop record centred on confidence and flirtation.
Four of the five tracks were produced by boy.withmagic, with “Afa Kennedy” produced by Toryye.
Speaking on the project, Outsyd Eddie described it as his introduction to the world, saying every song draws on real experiences and people, and reflects the mindset that has driven him. He said he hopes listeners will recognise parts of their own stories in the music.
