Olivia Rodrigo concluded her inaugural Daisy Chain Fields music festival in Irvine, California, on August 29, raising more than $20 million for charities supporting women and girls alongside guest performances from music icon’s, per consequence.net.
The one-day event featured an all-female lineup inspired by the ethos of Lilith Fair. Rodrigo’s 17-song headlining set included a live debut of her new track “serena joy,” alongside material from her third album, “You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
During the performance, Rodrigo was joined by Lilith Fair founder Sarah McLachlan for renditions of “Building a Mystery” and “Angel.” Alanis Morissette stepped in to perform “Ironic,” while Stevie Nicks joined Rodrigo to close the evening with a performance of “Landslide.”
Nicks praised the organiser’s efforts, noting the immense difficulty of coordinating a large-scale festival production.
Rodrigo is set to continue her live schedule in September with the launch of her Unraveled Tour.
