Nigerian International Film Summit holds in Lagos

The Nigerian International Film & TV Summit will take place from 29 August – 1 September 2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

According to the organisers, “the main objective of the summit is to provide the needed platform to extensively examine issues related to the business of film in Nigeria as it relates to Hollywood distribution in Nigeria and the Nollywood appeal for international distribution across territories”.

Held under the theme of ” Streaming Wars: The implication on future of content monetisation for film and TV content “, the summit seeks to discuss the opportunities, possibilities, concerns and challenges revolving around the business of film in Nigeria for international distributors and film investors and how fast the local Nollywood film industry is evolving to meet with international production standards and expectations.

Nigerian producers, the organisers say, are constantly faced with the huge challenge of discovering new and dynamic models for revenue on their films through various distribution channels in order to generate revenue and guarantee ROI.

“Independent Producers from Nigeria need to find how to remain relevant in the international film business being faced with increased demand for higher production values from the international market. The preparedness for this challenge will be discussed at the summit,” the organisers add.
