The screenings, which require a FREE Industry Access Badge or an Executive Gold Badge, will kick off at 8:20am on the third day of the summit at KAP Cinema on Ogundana Drive, Ikeja with Her Dark Past, a gripping drama about an influencer haunted by her past. Following this is Leaked at 9:40am, a powerful story that dives into the devastating consequences of a high school student’s leaked nudes.
From 10:55am, audiences will be captivated by Grown, a coming-of-age film that explores the harsh realities of adulthood. As the day progresses, attendees will be treated to a variety of stories, including the afro-noir film Gold Coast Lounge set in post-independent Ghana and the evocative documentary Omo Ghana – Man for Chop, which delves into the complexities of migration.
The evening session, starting at 6pm, will feature a series of short films, including ÌRÈTÍ: Hope Against Hope, which tells the inspiring story of a young costume designer battling cancer and Salamatu’s Rhapsody, a narrative exploring the clash between tradition and modernity in Northern Kaduna.
The day will conclude with Femi, a unique story about a geneticist’s unexpected journey into the world of art and attraction. With a diverse lineup that highlights both established and emerging filmmakers, NIFS 2024 promises a day of rich storytelling and cinematic excellence.
