Netflix unveils 1st look at “deeply personal” Take That docuseries

Netflix has released a first-look teaser for its highly anticipated Take That docuseries, set to chronicle the band’s 35-year journey from Manchester beginnings to pop superstardom, according to nme.com.

The three-part limited series, launching on January 27, promises an intimate exploration of the group’s “meteoric rise, dramatic split, and one of the greatest comebacks in British music history.”

The production features a vast collection of never-before-seen archive footage alongside contemporary interviews with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen. According to the official synopsis, the series will offer an “intimate look at the highs, the heartbreaks, and the enduring legacy” of the iconic group.

The first clip, released today (December 29), captures a nostalgic glimpse of the original five-piece—including Robbie Williams and Jason Orange—backstage during their 1990s heyday.

The announcement follows a wave of activity for the group and its former members including a return to ‘The Circus’ for a major UK and Ireland tour in 2026 and Robbie Williams preparing for his new album BRITPOP in 2026, following the release of his recent biopic Better Man.

Told in the members’ own words, the Netflix series aims to be the definitive account of the camaraderie and chaos that defined three decades of British pop culture.
