Nigerian artist M’Kido, born Mujeeb Adekunle Amosun, has teamed up with vocalist Remy for the release of their heartfelt Afro-fusion single, “Like U II.” The track is now streaming on all major platforms, showcasing M’Kido’s signature style of blending multilingual fluency and pan-African experiences into a unique sound.
His music often carries the warmth of West African rhythm and the elegance of Francophone soul, following early collaborations like his performances with the late DJ Arafat and breakout hits such as “Olo LoLo”.

With “Like U II,” the artistes have crafted a love song that is both deeply personal and universally resonant, mirroring the fluidity of modern African romance by moving effortlessly between French, English, Yoruba and Pidgin. Over smooth Afro-fusion instrumentation and gentle percussive grooves, M’Kido and Remy trade sincere and admiring verses.
The powerful and simple chorus, “Nobody be like you,” anchors the song in a feeling of irreplaceable affection. The emotional texture is further enriched by lines like the playful French phrase, “Je suis très jaloux, c’est toi qui me rend fou” (I am very jealous, you are the one who drives me mad), and culturally rich terms of endearment like Orekelewa, Adumaradan and Omalicha, which honour beauty in full cultural colour.
“Like U II” is ultimately a declaration of presence and commitment: “I promise you my love for the years we will spend together,” proving that love truly speaks every language all at once.
