Jamie Foxx is recovering from a medical complication, his daughter, Corinne Foxx, has said.
According to her, the actor “experienced a medical complication” and is “already on his way to recovery.”
The Oscar winner is currently shooting his upcoming Netflix film, ‘‘Back in Action,’’ in Atlanta and was previously in production in the United Kingdom.
The 29-year-old actress released a statement from the Foxx family on her Instagram that read, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.”
The 55-year-old Oscar-winning actor, known for films including Django Unchained, Collateral and Ray, was treated with “great care” following the unspecified incident on Tuesday.
Corinne said in her post that the family was grateful for fans’ support and asked for privacy.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.
“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”
Little is known about the cause of Jamie’s hospital stay, or his current condition, but TMZ reports that the situation was “serious enough” that his close family rushed to his bedside.
A source told the publication: “He’s communicating now, and that’s good news.”
