The iREP/Orange Exchange Program brings together Irep Film Festival and Orange Academy Lagos in a partnership that has been promoting purposeful storytelling for about one decade.
The Guest Speaker of this year’s edition of the iREP/Orange Exchange Program is Dr. Joanna Lipper. Dr. Lipper holds a PhD in Women’s Studies and is currently a Research Associate at the African Studies Centre, University of Oxford; and a Research Associate at Centre for Creative Industries, Media and Screen Studies, SOAS, University of London. From 2011-2015, she was a Lecturer at Harvard where she taught Using Film For Social Change.
Her most recent documentary, The Supreme Price, traces the evolution of the Pro-Democracy Movement in Nigeria and efforts to increase the participation of women in leadership roles. She is an award-winning filmmaker, photographer, author and lecturer.
