According to the German language and culture organisation, the event is open to the public and expected to begin at 4 pm, at No 7b Anifowoshe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event is in collaboration with the Cartoonists Association of Nigeria and will feature editorial cartoonists Mike Asukwo and Juliet Godwin.
“This event is a part of the closing ceremony of the exhibition The Labour of a Hero’s Past? A brief history of Nigerian democracy in political cartoons,” Goethe-Institut said in a statement.
Of the exhibition Goethe-Institut said: “Cartoon expression of thought are means of communicating art in mass media— particularly the editorial or political cartoons, which sought critical insights into matters that bother a people’s socio-cultural, economic, and political well-being.
“This show of editorial cartoon resonates on the conduct of the elections and its impact on people’s lives. Bringing diverse angles in creative cartoon drawings that not only applaud or critic governance processes but also speak truth to power”.
