Goethe-Institut Nigeria is hosting a captivating panel discussion & listening session on “Language and Storytelling in Radio Dramas.” Set to take place on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, from 3 pm to 5:30 pm at the Goethe Institut at 7 Anifowoshe Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, this event promises to delve deep into the heart of Nigerian storytelling.
The panel, said a statement, will feature esteemed guests including Maria Ihuoma, Director of Programmes at Radio Nigeria; Data Phido, Executive Director of ARDA Development Communication Inc; and Jahswill Stephen, Group Head of Content and Production at Group8. With a combined experience of over 40 years, these experts will explore the evolution of radio dramas in Nigeria, from historical portrayals like the depiction of a coup to contemporary narratives such as “Boomerang” and “Taxi Driver.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the captivating world of radio dramas through listening sessions, featuring excerpts from iconic productions like Radio Nigeria’s “Safe Journey” and modern classics from ARDA DCI and Correct FM.
