In a dazzling event that unfolded at the Radisson Blu VI, Lagos, on December 10, 2023, the highly anticipated book Fulfilling Purpose by Kendi Aig-Imoru was unveiled, casting a spell of purposeful charm on the audience.
The book launch, designed to be more than just a literary event, radiated a purposeful atmosphere, capturing the essence of the book itself. A gathering of avid readers, along with the author’s family and friends, transformed the occasion into a celebration of purpose-finding.
The grand unveiling of Fulfilling Purpose stole the spotlight, with Kendi Aig-Imoru herself taking the stage to read captivating excerpts, weaving an immersive experience for the diverse audience gathered from various strata of society. In her opening remarks, the author graciously welcomed guests, offering heartfelt gratitude and providing insightful glimpses into the journey behind her creation.
The evening unfolded with a speech from the Chairman, Mr. Gambo Iyere Aliyui, Deputy Controller (Customs) Tin Can Island Port, who described the event as a milestone, a remarkable day celebrating Kendi’s laudable book that challenges the core existence of life.

The compere and book reviewer, Mr. Reginald Chiedu Ofodile, added depth to the occasion by highlighting the book’s profound exploration of Christian theology, emphasising its significance not only in Nigeria but also in the global community.
Pastor Shola Oladipo set the tone with opening prayers, and notable guests including Mrs. Yemisi Ransome-Kuti and RTD AIG Tunji Alapini graced the event with their presence. The chairman expressed gratitude to witness such an auspicious occasion, hailing Kendi for her remarkable achievement.
Kendi Aig-Imoru shared her journey of writing Fulfilling Purpose, describing it as a quest to unravel the essence of life, answering fundamental questions about existence.
She said: “As a journey to discovering the essence of life. It answers the fundamental question of existence: Why are we here? What are we doing, and where are we going from here?”
The book, she added, is an invitation to work in purpose, walk in purpose, live in purpose and fullfil purpose.
Attendees got autographed copies and a palpable enthusiasm that marked the beginning of a new chapter for Fulfilling Purpose in today’s world.
