Footprints of David, in collaboration with the National Theatre of Nigeria, is set to present a captivating performance of Móremi on May 27 at 12 noon.
The play, held at Seaside Cottage Theatre, 54 Ajayi Olaiya Street off Obadiah Street, Ilaje, Bariga, promises to explore the complex legacy of Móremi, a legendary figure in Yoruba history.
Fostering a Town & Gown Discussion on Moremi, this immersive experience will feature esteemed professors of history, distinguished theatre scholars from the University of Lagos and respected traditional rulers of the Ilaje Community in Bariga.
These special guest discussants include High Chief Kayode Alvetiwa, Prof. Olajonpo Alsayomi Akinyeye, Prof. Tuji Azeez, Mrs. Adetola Akerele, Pa Benson Tomoloju, Otunba Moses Olafire, Ayo Ayodele Arigbabu, Mr. Dimchim Adebayo, King, Dr. Emoruwa Damilola Felix, and Dr. Lekan Balogun. These distinguished guests, drawn from diverse fields such as history, theatre, drama, creative arts and media, will provide insights and stimulate discussions on the themes and historical context of the play.
