Trailer for the upcoming King Richard film, starring Will Smith as the dad of Venus and Serena Williams has been released to much acclaim.
The emotional movie, which is slated to be released in cinemas and on HBO Max in November, follows the journey of the proud father as he helps to nurture two of the biggest sports stars in history, reports Metro.
Richard (Will) can be seen taking Serena (Demi Singleton) and Venus (Saniyaa Sidney) to the tennis court come rain or shine in the teaser, as he does all he can to prepare them for greatness.
The film follows the beginning of Venus and Serena Williams’ careers and has a star-studded cast, which is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, with Tony Goldwyn, Jon Bernthal and Kevin Dunn also in the mix.
Based on the true story that will inspire the world, Warner Bros. Pictures’ King Richard follows the journey of Richard Williams, an undeterred father instrumental in raising two of the most extraordinarily gifted athletes of all time, who will end up changing the sport of tennis forever.
