Eminem hints at potential album with 50 Cent

Eminem has sparked excitement among hip-hop fans by suggesting a potential full-length collaborative album with longtime friend and protégé 50 Cent, according to hiphophero.com. The Detroit rapper’s comments have ignited speculation about what could be one of hip-hop’s most anticipated joint projects.

“We just gotta stop bullshitting and do it,” Eminem stated candidly during a Christmas Day interview on Shade 45, with his manager Paul Rosenberg expressing enthusiastic support for the venture. The potential collaboration would mark a significant milestone in the two artists’ decades-long relationship, which began when Eminem discovered 50 Cent following his 2002 mixtape “Guess Who’s Back?”

The duo’s history of successful collaborations includes iconic tracks like “Patiently Waiting” and “Never Enough,” with their most recent partnership appearing on “Gunz N Smoke” from Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre’s Missionary album. Earlier this year, Eminem expressed similar sentiments to DJ Whoo Kid, emphasising his eagerness to work with 50 Cent again: “Whatever the f**k he needs from me, I’m here.”

The relationship between the two artistes extends beyond professional collaboration. During a 2023 Detroit performance, Eminem called 50 “one of the best friends I’ve ever known,” while 50 Cent has likened Eminem’s importance in his life to that of his grandmother, crediting him as a crucial mentor during his rise to fame.

The potential collaboration would unite two of hip-hop’s most successful artistes, with 50 Cent’s debut album selling 13 million copies and Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP reaching an impressive 23 million units. As fans eagerly await further developments, the project remains a tantalizing possibility that could reshape the hip-hop landscape in the coming year.
