Country star, Kenny Rogers, dead at 81

Kenny Rogers, three-time Grammy winner and the man who gave us such country classics as ‘Lady’, ‘The Gambler’, ‘Coward of the County’, ‘Lucille’, ‘Islands in the stream’ (with Dolly Parton) and many more died yesterday aged 81.

A statement from his family announced that “…Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10:25 PM at the age of 81. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family.” In view of the Corona Virus pandemic, the family has announced that there will be a small and private farewell service.
