Coldplay will stop making music in 2025, says lead singer Chris Martin

Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin says the band will stop making music in 2025, reports iNews

Martin, the platform adds, shared the “huge revelation” with BBC Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley for a special show to be broadcast tomorrow from 7 pm likely devastating fans across the world.

Whiley spoke about her interview with Martin on Wednesday’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, and shared a preview clip where he could be heard confirming 2025 will be the last year the band release new music.

“Well I know I can tell you: our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that I think we will only tour,” Martin said.

“Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things but the Coldplay catalogue as it were, finishes then.”

Whiley told Ball that sometimes she is unsure if Martin is being serious.
