Scottish alternative band Chvrches have released “Overthinker,” the second single from their upcoming fifth studio album, “All the King’s Men,” which is scheduled for launch on January 22, 2027, per audiophix.com.
The new track marks a subtle shift from the band’s initial single, “Roses,” combining the synth-heavy foundations of their debut record with a driving rock chorus.
Featuring confessional lyrics that address familial tensions and personal relationships, the song highlights singer Lauren Mayberry’s prominent vocal delivery alongside polished production.
Recorded in Scotland, “All the King’s Men” represents the group’s first full-length project since their 2021 album, Screen Violence. Band members previously indicated that the forthcoming album will feature a more guitar-driven sound while maintaining their signature introspective lyrical themes.
To support the release, Chvrches will launch a tour beginning in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on February 13, 2027. Ticket presales have commenced, with general public sales scheduled to open on October 20 at 10am local time.
