As the holiday spirit envelops the city, acclaimed author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is set to weave some Christmas magic with the launch of her inaugural children’s book, Mama’s Sleeping Scarf.
The eagerly anticipated event is scheduled to take place at Alliance Française de Lagos on December 29, 2023, from 3 pm to 7 pm WAT.
Published by Narrative Landscape Press in September 2023, Mama’s Sleeping Scarf introduces readers to the enchanting world of Chino and her cherished nighttime companion. The heartwarming tale explores the adventures of Mama’s scarf when she’s away, offering a delightful journey through silky hues and family life.
Themed “Christmas Magic with Chimamanda,” the launch promises to be a festive celebration, bringing together a diverse audience, including children, parents and special guests from various industries. Attendees can immerse themselves in a range of side attractions, including sip & paint, face painting, Santa Claus goodie bags, a photo booth and engaging Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie-themed games.
The Alliance Française venue, located at 9 Osborne Rd, Ikoyi, is set to transform into a hub of excitement, as attendees eagerly anticipate the unveiling of this significant milestone in Adichie’s literary career.
