Charli XCX, Lorde, Smashing Pumpkins, others to headline Lollapalooza 2026

Lollapalooza has unveiled its 2026 lineup, confirming a heavy-hitting roster of headliners that spans generations and genres, per udiscovermusic.com. Charli XCX, Lorde and Chicago’s own The Smashing Pumpkins lead the bill for the four-day extravaganza at Grant Park, alongside Olivia Dean, Tate McRae, Jennie, The xx, and John Summit.

For The Smashing Pumpkins, the appearance marks a significant homecoming. It has been over three decades since the band, founded by Billy Corgan in Chicago in 1988, last graced the festival stage. Their previous performance dates back to 1994, during Lollapalooza’s original era as a touring festival.

Lorde returns to the familiar territory of Grant Park, having previously performed in 2014 and headlined in 2017. Similarly, The xx are ending a three-year hiatus with their return to the festival, following notable slots in 2010 and 2017.

The 2026 edition also welcomes several high-profile debutants to the main stage. Jennie, who achieved global stardom with K-pop icons Blackpink, makes her first solo appearance following the massive success of her album Ruby. She is joined by British soul sensation Olivia Dean, whose career reached new heights in 2025 with her Grammy-winning sophomore album, The Art of Loving.

The broader lineup remains equally impressive, featuring a diverse range of talent including Lil Uzi Vert, Beabadoobee, Yungblud, 5 Seconds of Summer and Aespa. This year’s festivities are scheduled to run from 30 July through 2 August. Presale tickets launched on 19 March, with general sales now open as prices begin to scale for the summer’s most anticipated Chicago event.
