Amanda Holden dresses up as Dorothy from “The Wizard Of Oz” for World Book Day

To mark World Book Day on Thursday, March 2, Amanda Holden dressed up as Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz.

According to The Sun,  the 52-year-old pulled out all the stops to recreate the character from the L Frank Baum book, while her Heart Breakfast co-stars all joined in too.

Jamie Theakston impressed as the Tin Man, and Ashley Roberts was The Cowardly Lion.

Amanda shared a video on her Instagram account and her fans rushed to comment on how great they all look.

One person remarked: “Absolutely fabulous. Brilliant thank you for sharing.”

While another joked: “Sure Dorothy’s dress wasn’t that short.”

And Natalie Appleton commented: “OMG Amazing.”

World Book Day, led by charity UNESCO, is largely targeted towards children and aimed at encouraging their love of reading.

Children have the chance to dress up as their favourite literary character on the day.
